Harvardwood Rocks NYC

Harvardwood has put together THREE events (in three different parts of town) for the Harvard community in NY in November!

First, on Thursday, November 13, one week from tomorrow, Joe Toplyn, who was head writer first for Jay Leno and then for David Letterman, will talk about writing for Late Nite TV–the interviewer will be stellar comic Jane Condon!  We have just four seats left for this one–!

Then, on Sunday, November 16, we have the latest in our series of classical salons–violist Ed Klorman and pianist Yelena Grinberg giving an intimate concert of some gorgeous music by Brahms and three of his closest musical friends.  The concert will be in Yelena’s living room and we have just 16 seats left for this one.

And THEN, on Wednesday, November 19, Jay Pilzer, a Nashville based guitar dealer, former SCUBA instructor, and retired history professor, will give what I expect to be a really quirky and fun talk, ostensibly about the cultural history of the guitar in America, but, I suspect, more about the unexpected interconnectedness of things.  This is going to be a lot of fun, even if you have no interest at all in guitars.
