Beauty and
bliss
are close
intertwined

one is of
the earth
other of
mind

they come
oft together
but seek and
ye shall find

*

Truth and
beauty
dwell quite
apart

one is of the
elements
other of
heart

and though
we may wishing
fall
at their feet

twain are
predestined
rarely
to meet

except in
the ambles
of poesy

truth is
oft bitter
and beauty
bittersweet
