Devolution?
I am that
ancient
mariner
still rapt in
the
albatross
I am that
fool named
Midas
with the gold
turned
to dross
*
Antic echoes
bleed
me
conscience
reeks
with flaws
weary wears
the
spirit
I cannot
spot
due cause
*
In sunrise
I spy
the sunset
in profit
I feel
the loss
In all
moods
contrary
I am not
the man
I was
*
Though anarchy
surround
me
I still cling
to
laws
were I to
be
a rolling stone
fain would I
gather
moss
*
Whence
the dudgeon
buildeth
I am not
who I
once was
