Grace
Swear no more
of ties that bind
we’re long
succumbed to
blight
Make me no
sundry promises
we are riven
by grudge
and spite
No fealty
or sacrament
we’re shorn
of sacral
truth
Art given
to artifice
we rue
the sparsity
of ruth
Love weaves
no beechen
plot anon
the grape wilts
upon the vine
No ambrosia
that will not
cloy
no veritas
wakes in wine
All’s awry
twixt earth
and sky
forfeit
all benefice
divine
