On Gaza
On Gaza, by Rajani Kanth
they let hiroshima burn
they let nagasaki fry
bombed the life
out of Dresden –
bid civilisation
goodbye
so what care
they of Gaza
Yemen, Syria,
Iraq?
testing MOABs,
uranium:
whatever budgets
can buy
These Masters of
the Universe:
sup not
on humble pie
in torpid
streets of
Gaza
who dares
to question wny
bewildered children,
the old, the sick
huddle, hug
and cry
O the tender
western conscience
see how high it
can fly –
knows precisely who
may live
and whom it will
let die
