Prophecy

(for Mirabelle)

Thus spake
Zarathustra

but no one
really
listed

as planet
lurched

to untimely
end

exactly
as was
trysted

*

The Creed
of Greed

is
hurtled
on

heeds not
the winds
that blow

flying
pell mell

to the
Gates
of Hell

a
hapless
world

in tow

*

Thus spake
Zarathustra

As only
He
would know

as earth
is swept

to
scorched
doom

foretold
aeons
ago

*

Thus spake
Zarathustra

Lo he shall
speak
no more

the Vampire
Wraith

has fled
its lair

too Late
to bolt
the door

*

It’s over
now

the veils
are shred

led by
lucre

ruled
by dread

in harsh
and
heinous
bondage

bartered
but
for bread

*

Spake thus
Zarathustra

List to what
I
have said

Repent repine
reform repeal

Lest ye
all
wake up
d____

*

Wise was
Zarathustra

when this
old world
was young

when
in lieu
of Terse
Commands

in sweet lays
were Counsels
sung

*

In the roar
by
the tempest
shore

his chorals
ring again

as we now
sink

right on
the
brink

and the
world

begins to
wane

*

The gods
are gone

old
counsels
shorn

we mount
the hill
alone

in the night
of dark
remorse

too late!

conscience
gives
low moan

*

Adieu
adieu

the skies
depart

adieu
adieu

the seas
do part

alas The Dream
devolves
in pain

And gone
is
Zarathustra

never
to speak
again
