Vandals

Pearls before
repulsing swine
tears before
a philistine

I shed my all
to poesy
they to plunder
and rapine

Icy calm
insouciant
yet hell for
leather bent

Despoiled
yours
and mine

And so
in dun dismay
I sigh my mottled
ills away

Delved in
deep repine

*

They that rule
the roost today
harvest yet
forbidden hay

Though the sun
forbears to shine

They have razed
the garden rank
they have racked
the forest dank

scorching
this Earthly Shrine

*

So know Who
The Vampires are
Beware their
venal Vandal
Star

Mocking the
Spirit Divine

Pearls before
remorseless swine
or verse before
the philistine?

Alas I find I
cannot feed
though racked am I
by sorest need

I cannot break
besmirched Bread
nor quaff
befouled Wine

I would rather
make a meal
good god!
of tripe and
turpentine

*

The Vandals are
at it
Everywhere
night and day
by sea and air

Havoc
their diurnal fare

Be aware beware
their darkling spell
temping you to
the gates of hell

Heed not
their illuding sign

*

Debauching
peace and clemency
furor their native
ministry?

What intrepid
Inquisitor
could scale their
frantic Entropy?
